Spatula Diary is a business that centers around fun, festive and easy home cooked recipes. Started by two friends who loved to share recipes with each other, Spatula Diary seeks to bring others into their fun and show that cooking fabulous meals can be simple and delicious.

Brand Identity

Logo Design

The clients did not have an established brand identity when this project began. They needed a logo that represented their love of food, but also the friendship that started the business in the first place. After meeting with the clients and hearing their story, I started to mind map and sketch up some ideas. The clients wanted something simple that involved a fork and a spoon but also included the initials of the business name. The final design has a spoon making up the top loop of the S and the fork making the connecting line of the D. The heart in the middle was meant to represent their love of food and each other. The logo went through two of rounds of iterations and ultimately the clients were very happy with the result.
